Knock on Wood has proudly been servicing Peterborough and surrounding area since 1989. Our business has grown to serve and deliver quality products that include sofas, chairs, dining furniture, accent furniture, bedding and more from the GTA to Kingston and cottage country on a weekly basis.
Our focus is to provide our customers with unique and high-quality Canadian made furniture. This effort combined with our excellent customer service has resulted in a customer base that reaches far outside our local market.
With a non-commissioned sales team we offer a relaxed “no pressure” shopping environment for our customers. Our team provides
experienced free design service, expert advice, and knowledge on product quality features / benefits and
furniture brands to provide you the best value while helping you achieve your vision.

What kind of furniture do you carry?
We stock a full range of Canadian-made pieces, including sofas, sectionals, chairs, dining sets, bedroom collections, bedding, and accents. Everything comes from high-quality brands we trust and have an established relationship with.
Does your staff work on commission?
No. Our only incentive is to help find what fits your space and budget without any sales pressure, while providing a relaxed shopping experience.
Do you offer design help?
Yes, we offer a Complimentary Design Service! Our in-house designer will work with you to pull together a space while selecting from our collection of high-quality furniture.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver weekly to Peterborough and the surrounding areas, including regular deliveries to Prince Edward County, Cobourg, Port Hope, Durham Region, the GTA and cottage country. Almost half our sales are outside our trading area.
Can I custom order?
Yes, you can custom order most pieces. Whether you want a different fabric/stain colour or different configuration, many of our suppliers have options to choose from.
